Layne immediately went for him as soon as he was pointed out to her and the lightsabers lit up. He was the real threat right now, and he needed to be dealt with as quickly as possible. The darksaber swung through the air, the basics of her shii-cho style fluid and unpredictable, the high pitched whine, so different from other lightsabers, clashing with his own before she found an opening.

"You fucked up," she said, practically hissing the words through her teeth as she engaged the sith.

What followed was a series of attacks that flowed neatly into one another, a constant barrage that despite his best efforts, the Sith could not stop.

1 maneneuver to close to short, 2 strain for another maneuver and close distance to engage and attack. additional 2 advantage generated (superior, curved hilt)

12 damage inflicted, 1 advantage used to activate critical, 3 advantage to force him to drop one of his lightsabers. Fearsome 3 triggers.


Crit (vicious 1): 1d100+10 76: Overpowered (free attack with exact same pool, assuming first attack does damage)

crit (vicious +10, +10 from previous critical): 1d100+20 76: ahem, overpowered again.

12 damage, 2 free advantage generated, 1 advantage used to crit, 1 advantage to give boost to next character, 2 advantage to give them another boost, 3 advantage to try (and fail) to make him drop his lightsaber.

Crit (vicious+10, +20 from previous criticals): 1d100+30 102: Maimed (One limb, selected by GM is permanently lost)

Another 11 damage, 2 free advantage generated, 1 advantage used to crit. 2 advantage to heal strain, Triumph used to upgrade next allied character's next check.

Layne is at 2 strain I believe.

Dynos parried both attacks reducing their severity but still standing. He does not drop his weapon, due to his training.

OOC: 8 strain spent so far, for a total of 12 wounds, I see no rule not allowing another Overpowered attack. BTW did you Negate his 2 Defense?

Alas poor Dynos we knew him well.

Dynos looked at his missing arm and said, “Well this is a surprising turn of events.” His defenses thoroughly defeated.

Layne watched him fall, and make his final quip. She then turned to the others.

"This guy's 'armless. Someone get this fucking ship back on track!"

"I am going to assume that means 'I surrender,'" Tethys says dryly, raising an eyebrow at Layne's rather astonishing series of strikes.

She turns to Lunda with a small smile and says, "You are strong, Lunda Mae. We all have our strengths." A glance at Layne indicates she, at least, has just demonstrated her core competency rather clearly. "You're the only one of us who wasn't frightened in the Sith temple. You're strong enough that Zash wanted you, strong enough to resist her--and you're not alone." She switches her blue-green lightsaber off again. "We're doing this together."

"Senator, can you still handle the engines? We must get to the crew as well. And what about...?" Her eyes flick toward the passage leading to the hangar.

Dynos is lying on the floor looking at his lopped off arm... hard to tell if he is conscious with his helmet.

Frowning, Tethys goes over to make sure he isn't about to choke to death on his own blood or something unpleasant like that.

((Waste a turn stabilizing and/or restraining Dynos, whichever's necessary. Tethys has a medkit, and I assume there's engineering-y stuff around if I need it, like wires or cables.))

Durasay looked down at the helpless with. So weak. I am stronger than him... Anger. Hatred. The desire to enact revenge on him is strong. For a moment, Durasay contemplates executing the man.

No. Not with the Jedi here. It would raise too much suspicion. "On it." He nodded, smiling at his thoughts. Before making his way to the console, he grabbed the lightsaber from the dismembered arm. A souvenier.

Moving to the console, he trusted in Destiny.

Baesal arrived just as Tethys tended to Dynos, she noticed that the engines were failing to offset some of their flow and that a buildup was inevitable… in fact before she can say anything it erupts in a blast of energy across the chamber!

OOC: End of Round 2, Tethys is able to restrain Dynos. Begin Round 3. Baesal arrived she noticed due to her mechanical expertise that Dynos had done a number on the engine and pipes but is not fast enough to let anyone know before there is a blast of electricity and heat through the chamber! Despair used. Not sure on buying time but the advantage it can give a boost die to the next mechanics check. That would be Durasay's action for Round 3.

Resilience check at hard to be knocked cold, if successful suffer two setback on next check and suffer 5 strain and 5 wounds reduced by soak. Lunda suffered 6 strain and 2 wounds. Spending four Destiny one for each player's Resilience check.

While grabbing the controls, Durasay felt the surge of energy coursing through his body. While his armor insulated him from the physical damage, her nervous system was alight, straining him quite a bit.

Durasay is pinned to the ground under fallen debris, his armor protected him from the damage but without aid he is stuck under pipeworks and wiring...

The blast catches Tethys off-guard as she finishes tying Dynos to a pipe with a scavenged length of cable. She collapses across the unconscious Sith, out cold just like the prisoner.

Tethys has 5 stimpacks on her, 2 of them easy to find in a military pouch on her belt, if that can be used to pick her up again? Her medkit (+1eB and 1 advantage on Medicine checks) is right there as well if you lot need it for anything.

"Fuck!" Layne was knocked back. But somehow narrowly avoided hitting her head hard enough to black out. Not pausing to assess her own injuries, she scrambled back to her feet. Seeing some of her companions down, she pulled out a stimpack and stabbed Tethys with it. At the same time she looked Lunda, pleading with her.

"Fucking DO something! We don't have time for this!"

1 maneuver to get up, 1 maneuver in exchange for 2 strain to stimpack Tethys (assuming she's within engaged range?), should be at 9 strain

[Lunda Mae]

Lunda nodded and moved to aid Durasay braving the engine core, she deftly through the debris pinning him down… as blisters formed on her unprotected skin from the output of the engine.

OOC: She suffered 2 wounds and 5 strain for a total of 4 wounds and 11 strain. Durasay is free to act on his turn next round.

"...uuunff." Tethys groans faintly as she levers herself to hands and knees, her scattered senses focusing first on the location of the two--no, three Padawans, Baesal's here somehow. She caught up while I was out...

"Baesal, there's a safety suit over here--we've got to get the engine under control, but there's radiation--"

Speaking of which, she can see the burns already starting on Lunda's skin. After all this, we're not losing you now, Lunda Mae.... Tethys can't push back her fear, but she pushes through it, floating Lunda gently back to safety while she tastes blood in her own mouth from biting down on her cheek.

Durasay shook himself from the slight daze after the explosion and being pinned. Grateful to Lunda for her bravery, he moved back to the controls, making sure his blasters and Dynos' lightsaber were holstered along his belt.

"Baesal, when you get a second, I might need your help." He called to her, as he grabbed a hold of the stick.

Tethys spits a little blood, then shakes her head to clear it and gives Lunda Mae a tense half-smile. "Let's go get the crew out of there."

She takes off down the opposite corridor at a trot.
