After the workout, Nai moved over to the bar to relax. The idea of unwinding with a cold drink was even more tempting considering the current situation with booze on the ship. Ør rather, not being on the ship.

Besides, didn't hurt to have a chat with the bartender to make sure Craw wouldn't have any lapses in here.

Though she was now more interested in catching those coming out from the command meeting for a drink.

Down the other end of the bar was a republic pilot, by the look of the uniform. He was nursing a mug of some indistinct beverage as he nibbled at a bowl of pretzels.

"Wan' sum?" He asked in a casual friendly tone.

After the staff meeting Hamelin heads over to the bar to get something to drink before going to bed. It is just a shame that most human food is vile to him. Still there are a few drinks that he is okay with.

Seeing the Chiss and Human he gives them a nod. <Drak Tom Yum Borgun Cheek Sama Lise>
"Good evening."

"Sure, aruetii," she nodded, taking a few of the snacks.

Nai stared blankly at the Gand. She didn't speak bug."He your friend?" She asked the human.

Seeing a language barrier here, Hamelin takes out his datapad and uses the translation app.

No. I have not met either of you.

He holds out his datapad towards here. It looks like he wants to exchange Galactic Network ID #s.

Garth just smiles at the bug as he hands over the nowl to the hot, blue chick.

"Ummm nope. Can't understand a word of what 'e says neither."

The datapad trick helps though.

"Hey thar. Ah'm Garth."

Jax wandered over his work out finished he had hit the refresher and was just in a black shirt and pants with hos boots a duffle bag over his shoulder he figured he'd grab a drink or two before racking out. He approached the bar and saw the rather beautiful chiss he had just met and the friendly Gand he had chatted with in the hangar. They were talking to a guy, pilot by the uniform, that he hadn't met before.

Jax approached the group and smiled happily "Room for one more?"

Garth grinned and kicked out a stool for Jax.

"Fer one who c'n stand up to th' enemy in a space battle? Always."

"That was your ship I saw docking after that little clash up there yeah?"

"Nai'tiri Cadera," she replied to Garth, but she didn't seem to want to give her contact info to someone she didn't even know as the Gand was offering the datapad. "You both Republic then?"

"Su cuy'gar," Nai greeted the familiar man as he joined them.

Garth nodded in reply.

"Fer goin on...4 years now ah think. Bout that anyway."

He takes another long swallow of his drink.

"Driver turned pilot. Helpin out where ah can. What of yerself. Couldn't help but notice y'ain't in uniform. Independent forces?"

Jax smiled as he took a seat "sure was but I didn't do nothing to impressive just laid down cover fire and harassed while the other two took out the frigate, you wanna talk about good work look at this lady." He said clapping Nai lightly on the shoulder "her and Chase rocked that frigate with those crazy torpedoes you guys gave us. They were the real heroes of the battle."

"In a way," she paused before clarifying; "Mandalorian."

She gave a questioning look to the pat, but didn't comment on it further. "Wasn't my best shot, but still getting used to the feel of starship weapons. Much more prefer a rifle."

"Guess there's a divide there in yer people? War's never simple."

"Long as that rifle's not pointed my way, happy to see yer both here. Seems to be a bunch of non military people anout. Must be 'specting a tough campaign."

Jax noted the questioning look and shot her a quick apologetic one he had gotten a bit lost in the comraderie and didn't think she might not like the physical contact from a relative stranger. "Yeah seems like the republic has pulled in a bunch of specialists usually they keep types like me around to do things they can't or won't do."

Hamelin listens on and continues typing.

Jax chuckled and leaned closer pitching his voice low "first time drinking Rebuplic beer? Im pretty sure they make it taste that way to discourage people from drinking too much. You ever want a real drink stop by the Midnight she's not fully stocked but I've got a couple things hidden away for a rainy day. Least I could do after the way your crew performed today."

He sat back in his chair and took a long drink and looked at Garth so I know these two stories" he said indicating Nai and Hamelin "what's yours fly boy?" He asked with a smile.

Garth however, had long ago trained his tastebuds to ignore the taste. It was wet, and more importantly in a war zone, safe to drink.

" Mah story? Pretteh simple. Grew up on Onderon, was a bit of a troublemaker, fell into the Swoop racin' crowd. Did that for a while til ah got a better offer. Steady paycheck from some bigshot on The Kessel Run show as a stunt driver. When they went belly up, signed on here."

"Swoop racing huh? Reckon youre pretty good? Maybe we'll see how fast you are sometime. I'd love to find a challenge here. Once we get some operations under our belt we should find some time for a little race."

"Got a machine or using that freighter of yours? Tallulah's under a tarp in the hangar and she's always up fer a good hard ride."

Garth finishes his drink and indicates for another, his last for the day by the rules.

"But yeah, just lemme know, once we're all settled. I'll put 'er against anything around here with an engine. Though might need a headstart against that spacecraft."

"Will keep it in mind."

Nai'tiri filed it away as Come On #216 for the day and sipped her beer. No wonder they only gave people 2 drinks per day; hardly anyone would want to drink more of this alcoholic dish-water.

"Onderon, huh? Ever been to Dxun then?"

"Not....officially. My ma was a superstitious type and believed that moon was haunted by ghosts of great evil things. She made me promise to never set foot on Dxun."

He grins wickedly. "But when it drew close enough for the atmo to align with Onderon...man there were some races between the two. Open cockpit, no helmet. If you weren't good enough and were too slow...well let's just say I lost a few friends that way when the separation happened."

Nai scoffed playfully. "Never seen ghosts there. But lots of nasty critters there," she grinned slightly. "Sounds like quite the adventure."

"So you've been? And had some run ins with th'native wildlife? Well Ms Cadera, you's jus' full o' surprises ain't ya." Garth replies with a grin.

"Sounds like you've had some 'ventures of yer own."

Jax whistled a bit "man atmo races are risky business. Takes a lot of guts to do those. Respect." He said tilting his drink toward the man hm this guy reminds me a lot of myself when I was younger.
