The young Jedi was walking in circles around one of the fighters. Her gaze alternated between it, the manuals, it again and then the manual once more.

''So this is that, plugged here...''

Somewhere in the back of the hanger Rav was sat at a workbench with his favourite rifle clamped in place. He seemed to be doing some rather delicate work on the sighting system. His tongue was lolling out of the side of his mouth as he looked at the targeting system with focused attention.

(OOC: Just noting that Rav is here in the background in case it becomes relevant!)

“Uhh… master Jedi, why are you circling my ship?” a woman said as she approached looking at the togruta.

Baes was taken out of her studies by the...the...aaaaaapparently very busty pilot

Wow...just wow...hey! Focus!

The padawan gave herself a mental boot up the ass, adressing the republic pilot appropriately.

''Oh, I am srory if I bothered you. I am studying a few manuals and wanted to compare with a live example.'' She gave the woman a pleasant smile ''I am padawan Baesal Zyn''

"Lt. Qyen, you're a Jedi, why are you studying our ships... you a pilot?" she asked.

"There are no lightsabers strapped to the hull."

''Nope, not a pilot and don't let me near the handle'' she said shaking her head ''I am more like an engineer and mechanic''

“Well, I guess that is fine, what are you studying anyway?” she asked.

''The Republic Armed Forces Tech Manuals on the Spitfire...'' she looked back at the title ''...and related equipment''

“Chief loves the manual, quick tip, it’s useful but none of the technicians refer to it unless they are being inspected for qualifications review. Here since you seem earnest I can give you a good rundown of all the stuff he will expect you to know that isn’t in the manual,” she replied.

“They are not bad, just don’t account for the real world wear and tear and the quirks of the Spitfire. Like how the belts jam, or the fact due to some design flaw it pulls slightly to the right when accelerating.”

''I would really appreciate it'' replied Baesal, beaming ''I have experience repairing ships but not these ones.''

"No problem, master Jedi," she said and gave Baesal the run down on the ship from a pilot's perspective and gives Baesal some insight into how everything works.

Baesal notes everything down as best she could with a few ''I see'' and ''M'kay'' inserted here and there.

''That will be a lot of help, thanks a lot. Can I do anything in return?''

The question stumped her and she stammered, "Just doing my part, master Jedi."

''Okay then...but if you need something you think I can help with, feel free to contact me.''

A few keystrokes of her datapad allowed the Togruta to send her contact info to the helpful pilot

“Wow… that is nice of you, master Jedi!” she seems surprised.

''I am only a padawan so please call me Baesal''

"But you're a Jedi right?" she asked confused by the distinction.

''Yes, a Jedi apprentice.''

"That is all that matters to me, master Jedi," she said warmly.

Baes smiled back

''Baesal will be fine''

“But you’re not a normal person, you’re a Jedi!” she said confused.

Baesal blinked in confusion but still smiled wide

''But Jedi are normal persons too! We poo just as much as anybody else!''

“Wow… that is an image I did not need in my mind’s eye,” she replied trying to scrub her mind.

“Fine, Baesal… still weird to think of it like that.”

She laughed at that

''Yeah...pretty effective way to knock down a pedestal ain't it?''

"Yeah," she responded.

"I have never eve met a Jedi until just now.. so yeah."
