Bankor Hold'em (D6, EA)

Sensibly dressed with the thermal cloak over her uniform, and her head and face concealed with goggles and the cloak's hood, as well as a scarf around it for good measure, Lyseil was sweating but not as much as she would have without the protective gear.

It seemed the Blue Oasis Casino had been abandoned, or at least so it seemed to her as she observed the place through her binoculars. It was worth checking out!

Slightly behind her, the quadrupedal Droid followed. What was the organic up to?

The building did seem abandoned. But even abandoned places were dangerous. So the Droid followed silently, as possible.

It was his duty to assist.

Lyseil checked her surroundings, spotting the four-legged chrome-canine.

"Uh... hi there!" Oh gosh, I hope it's not a sentry droid left behind by the Meandalorians. She tried to look as non-threatening as possible, which meant her hands were far away from the pistol on her hip... with one reaching out to let the droid sniff her hand as if it was a real animal.

The organic was offering signs of.. surrender?

It's head tilted a moment as it lowered it's head and approached, before nudging the Panteers hand.

It looked up, ears perked, before staring past her at the casino.

She gave the... dog(??) a pat on the head, then followed it's gaze. "I guess you're not with the Mandalorians, huh? It seems they've left the place, but maybe there's still something they've left behind?"

She gave a friendly smile to the droid. "I'm Lyseil! Want to come along with me and search the place?"

He sits a moment, a slight wag of his tail. "This unit is tasked with assisting republic troops."

"Designation: Lyseil, this unit will be happy to help you search the premises."

His head tilts, ears quirking inquisitively.

"Do you believe something is there?"

"Oh, assisting Republic troops? That's me! I mean, I'm part of the Republic Strike Force," she beamed happily. It was always good when people had things in common!

"Yes-yes, I think there might be a possibility that the Mandalorians could have left something of interest behind, but we won't know until we look! Your assistance will be greatly appriciated." Lyseil resisted the urge to pat the droid on the head again and instead lead the way!

OOC: The Mandalorians left only mundane things if that, they were thorough.

The Mandalorians seemed to have been more thorough than she had expected... darn. The only thing left were things no one had use for anymore.

Hard to get an impression of many there used to be here too... Huh, so this is where one of the Kryze-children kept their "court".

The Droid dog followed around, tilting it's head and looking over various objects. He was not sure what his companion was looking for. He spent a moment trying to analyze possible population counts and areas frequently used, but he wasn't quite sure if he located anything of note.

"This unit detects no hostile presences, but will continue to search."

It then lowered it's nose and continued snooping.

"Hmmm... if they've left anything like datapads or something, that could be useful! But if we can maybe get a feel of how many were here, that could probably be very-very useful too," she said encouragingly to the canine-droid. It was kind of weird and cute at the same time, Lyseil thought, as she observed the droid for a few moments, before she started searching around too.

It glanced over to her as she searched, noting the methods used.

"This unit will also attempt to detect any abnormal frequencies. The hostiles seem thorough in their retreat, however."

It's ears perked for a moment, as though it might have heard something, before speaking to her again.

"Is this unit disturbing?"

"Oh? No-no, not at all! Your company is greatly appriciated, uh..." she tilted her head as she regarded the droid. "What should I call you?"

"Unit Designated: GB-PK9."

It pauses a moment, as it elaborates.

"Several references to it have been abbreviated to GB. This seems common when speaking to droids, on the part of organics."

"Well, GB then, if you don't mind," she said chipperly! If it didn't want to be called GB, she'd remember to use the full version.

"I haven't seen any droids like you before - it's really unique!"

"This unit does not mind any voluntary designation assigned. Common used designations include: "Dog. GB. Droid. Thing. K9." It's ears lower slightly. "And in the case of one elderly organic, "Stupid Dog."

It responds to her question after the momentarily skipped beat.

"Unit= Protoype, not yet mass produced. Limited run of assembly. Intent is primarily to be a wilderness retrieval and rescue unit. Previous Tread based models have under performed in areas, and bipedal models suffer from losing stability after limb damage."

"That's mean; you're not a stupid dog or a... thing!" Lyseil with firm conviction.

She listened with interest as GB listed its function and design. "That's a really clever and unique prototype. You really are one of a kind, GB," she said with a warm tone, accompanied by a friendly smile. Kinda remind me of uncle's dogs... they're pretty big and friendly!

The unit responds with a head raise, looking at the Panteer. It starts pawing at the floor in several spaces as the search continues.

"Hopefully this unit performs well enough on this mission to encourage further model production."

It pauses, it's ears flattening.

"This unit is unsure if it is prepared for wiping and recycling."

That just sounded too sad. That GB would have his memories wiped, or worse, he'd be turned to scrap.

"I have every faith that you will perform well, GB!" she offered with encouraging tones. Maybe I'll just take you home if... oh wait, no, he's not a *real* dog. I can't just take him home!

Footsteps echoed through the halls as someone approached.

"Every opportunity to work along side the republic is a chance to prove this is a good unit."

His ears perked, and a low synthetic growl emitted from it.

Synthesized or not, Galen could recognize a growl and what it implied. His head appeared from behind a corner, followed soon by the rest of him, with his hands held out.

"Hello there!"

Lyseil heard the growling before she heard the footsteps, and unclipped her blaster from his holster as she turned around.

"... Who are you?" she asked cautiously. He didn't seem to be a Mandalorian?

"Galen Sol, under contract with the Republic forces." he answered. "Just here taking a look around."

"Ah, ok. I didn't recognize you... it's ok, GB," she assured the droid.

"I'm sergeant Lyseil Panteer of the Republic Strike Force, here to check to see if the Mandalorians left anything behind."
