Niall had arranged for some space for the interview, in one of the command structures. He'd arranged for T7 and Z to be there. And, just now, he'd sent requests for Sergeant Kun and Specialist Min to be there.

Now he just had to wait.

T7 waited and beeped, "Bad Droid = Initiated."

Z leaned against a wall nearby, hat pulled down to cover his eyes. His black gloved hands clasped in front of him. He might look like a fairly imposing figure to some, and at the very least he would be a wild card.

Sergeant Kun arrived looking nervous and confused and saluted saying, “Sergeant Thix Kun reporting as ordered, sir.”

He stood at attention as was expected.

"Sergeant." Niall gave him a nod. "Captain Niall Organa.
Thank you for coming. We're investigating a matter, and we need your help resolving it."

He gestured to the room they'd chosen. "Have a seat in there, please. And we'll need your communicator for a few minutes."

Confused, but he complied and nodded, “Yes sir.”

He entered the room and waited.

Niall followed him in, along with the bad droid and the wild card.

Niall cleared his throat. "We're investigating a communication issue. We need you to tell us everything about the comm calls you made yesterday." He gave him a reassuring smile. "It's okay. You're not in any kind of trouble. Just be clear and honest with us."

The droid beeped angrily, “T7 = Angry! Tell//Why//You//Are//Scum?”

The droid produced a little taser from its body.

The Sergeant looked at the droid not fully understanding and then back to the Captain and said, “Of course sir. I contacted my husband back on Coruscant, our son has been sick and I wanted to cheer him up for his birthday. I apologize I think I went over time by two minutes. I knew I should have reported it.”

“As for the Valiant Star I was just catching up with a buddy of mine, Specialist Riks, it was on the level though. I made sure I did not go over my time.”

Z for the most part stayed silent. In his opinion it was unlikely that the would glean much from this, but Niall wanted to try.

Instead he remained against the wall, waiting for the Captain to make a request of him if needed.

Niall gave the man a tolerant smile. "We can let it go. Do make sure to report those sorts of things in the future."

"Can you tell us the substance of your talk with Specialist Riks?"

“I guess, we just talked about some recent huttball matches,” he said honestly.

“Is that frowned upon now?”

Niall shook his head. "Not at all. I used to play, you know. We can compare notes later. Hmmm. Give me a minute. T7, with me, if you please. Z, carry on."

He would leave Z alone with the sergeant, waiting for T7. Once the door closed, he spoke. "T7, patch me through to Specialist Riks, and pull his file. Let's see if he can confirm the sergeant's story."

Zane repressed the urge to sigh, the Captain had bailed out a bit earlier then he should. "Sorry about that." Z offered with a friendly smile as he stepped away from the wall.

"The Captain is still pretty new at all this, I think you have him a bit nervous." He continued with a light chuckle. "You said you were discussing hutt ball matches though? Do you remember which ones?" Z asked slipping a datapad out of his pocket, perhaps to take notes.

T7 complied, and after some back and forth they are able to corroborate his story. It should be noted that Specialist Riks was annoyed and promised to follow up with command for the invasion of privacy.

The Sergeant looked at Zanebry, "I am not sure who you are sir, but I only answer to military officers."

Niall sighed. Well, no luck there. Well, he couldn't make everyone happy all of the time. Hopefully the next one would go better. "T7, let me know if there's anything strange in Specialist Riks' file."

He went back in. "Sergeant, you're free to go. But I'd like to ask, as a favor, that you wait until the next individual arrives." He offered the man a smile. "But we can talk about Huttball if you like. I was in a team back on Nar Shaddaa, you know."

“I kind of just want to get back to work, but as you say sir,” he said respectfully and then waited outside.

Niall looked at Z. "I don't think it's him." He sighed. "Damn. I'll apologize for wasting his time. Once the next person gets here, anyway."

Private Briu entered, his uniform was dirty from work and he looked tired but salute and said, “Private Briu, arriving as ordered sir.”

He was a thin man, young, with wiry hair and scruff on his chin. He sighed heavily as he waited to see what this was about.

Niall returned the salute with a reassuring smile. "Thank you, Private. We appreciate your time." He gestured to the seat. "This is my associate, Zanebry, and my partner T7. They're working with me on this matter. Please answer any questions they have as well."

He cleared his throat. "We're investigating a very important matter involving communications. I hope you can help us with it." He gave the young man an encouraging nod. "Could you tell us what comm-calls you made yesterday, and to who?"

“I don’t really remember, it was crazy yesterday and I've been on duty for the last eighteen hours, probably called the Valiant Star maybe? But yeah I was busy,” he said honestly.

"Why would you need to call the Valiant Star?" Thr kid looked more like a grease monkey then anything. "Doesnt someone higher up usually do that?"

Niall gave him an encouraging smile. "It's really very important, Ensign. I want you to do your best, and think very hard."

“I check in with them to see if they have extra stock or if we have something we don’t need. Sergeant Varn has me handle the intake, keeps me out of trouble she says. If I called it was probably about scheduling a pickup or a drop off, I would have to see the logs that day to know for sure which,” he responded scratching his chin.

“I probably call a few times a shift depending on the work flow. I like it, logistics might be the only thing I am good at.”
