Bankor

Now that the region was more secure, and he was feeling better, Galen had taken a walk through the city. His wandering brought him to the museum and the activity within drew him inside. For a time, he simply watched the efforts to recover and organize the collections and displays.

Eventually, however, he began looking through things himself, assisting where he could while he looked for a section of the museum dedicated to ecological and animal sciences.

Rekara watched as things were being organized, as the museum looked like it was starting to come back to life.

Galen came across Rekara as he continued to casually explore the museum.

"Hello there. I'd like to help more with the restoration. Is there anything I can do?"

Rekara heard the words of the man that passed by her. "It seems like they are mostly bringing back the expositions" she said as she watched, "doesn't seem like there is much that we can do but wait as they bring the things back."

"Ah, then you are like me, one who was curious about how the museum was recovering?" he looked around. "It seems like there's much to be done, still, but they now have a chance to do it."

"That I am, same as you." She replied to him, "and yet I can easily see that most of the damage will be hard to recover. I can already see so much damage on most of the archaeological remains of Bankor. Look at that statue there, it has suffered from the occupation so much... that damage might never be restored."

"It seems that the Mandalorians have a scorched earth approach to their occupation." Galen sighed. "If they can't hold onto it, they'll destroy it. I'm concerned about what else might be lost in this conflict."

"I worry for the citizens of Bankor. They seem to have lost all, their homes, their pride, their hope. Having a link to their past could help them look with trust to the future, and to the Republic they will see them as a friend and an ally, hopefully." Rekara looked to the few things remaining of the Museum. She could only hope that there was more in the jungles and the plains of the planet that could inspire the locals. "The Mandalorians might have caused Havoc, but the Resistance is a sign of the spirit of Bankor"

"It's clear that we need to do whatever we can to protect them and help them recover." he nodded.

"You are right master jedi. By the way, my name is Rekara. I believe we have not presented ourselves yet." She bowed to the jedi, "I am padawan to Master Chargo Torltel. I am from the distant and newly found planet of Dac, although you might know it as Mon Calamari."

"I am Galen Sol, but I am not a Jedi." he returned an awkward bow. "I do study with Mast Lyshea Mersl, however."

"Oh, I must have been mistaken. I had the feel of the Force strong within you, so I had thought you were also a follower of the Light." she said with an estranged tone. "I guess, then, that you have come as a representant of the Republic, then?"

"One does not need to be a Jedi, to embrace the Light." he shrugged. "I am working for the Republic, as a private contractor."

"You are right," She replied with a smile, "to embrace the Light there is only one requirement, to aim for peace and not for war, to bring tranquility and not anger. Even as a private contractor you could had chosen between one and another side, and yet it depends on your ideals which side you chose, it depends if you favor truth or power, and I hopefully see that you have chosen truth."

"I chose what I felt was best for the people of this planet." he nodded. "Now that I'm here, I feel confident that I chose correctly."
