The Kryze were pulling out. Odd pushed forth to the side way of the main road leading to the airport, hopeful to spot a worthy mark that could satisfy his thirst for revenge. Officially, it was called a patrol. He had sadly stepped into a booby trap on the way here.

Azura had intended to also scout ahead, to get an idea of what they might face ahead of them (and a spaceport is a good spot to understand). It seems that it had been well protected though, and Azura had to take a moment to stimpack herself after taking some pain on traps.

She noticed the man from the gym earlier ahead, and frowned. What is he doing?

The spaceport was a mess the Mandalorians had done a number on the interiors and there were plumes of smoke and the smell of hypermatter fuel in the air. Making their way to the hangars they could see the impounded starships… or the remnants there of… now they were smoking heaps metal and slag, one last little snub by the House of Kryze.

One of the ships explodes as they ware watching fires still burning on several of the ships, non are in any condition to be used.

So they were too late. Odd gestured the woman over to follow him right after the explosion lighting the night before dawn. He was intent on waiting the fire out and investigating the place afterwards.

Azura brought an arm up when the explosion happened to block any debris or blinding lights, before looking over the situation.

Well, what a mess this is.

She caught the gesture out of the corner of her eye, and with a nod followed quietly after him. Keeping an eye out as she did so.

Jax had seen Azura leave and decided to see where she was going at such a late hour he followed her out into the contested zone and shook his head at the slag heap of the space port he got up behind Azura and the large unfamiliar man his voice was soft as he said "Man is everywhere like this?"

"I suspect it'll be worse as we push further in" Azura said over her shoulder to Jax "they won't leave anything usable. Destruction awaits."

Jax just shook his head "It all just seems so damn unnecessary, there can't be any real honor in destruction like this, against mostly defenseless civilians."

"They are thorough, but they are also in hurry. Mistakes are being made. We may luck out and spot one." He remarked, clearly relaxing once the man who had crept on them proved to be on their side. It made him click back the twin blades from his wrists with a subtle movement that had sprung out the moment he had become aware of additional company. "Some people cannot stop themselves from taking the last look at the carnage before they fly away."

"Human nature" Azura nodded in agreement, keeping an eye out "watch out, watch carefully. Last thing we want is to draw attention needlessly."

"I suppose" he looked at the big mando "hey big guy, the names Jax, Jax Dolross good to see you're on our side of things." He said glad he wouldn't have to go up against that gun, or those thick arms. He stuck close to Azura as they carefully swept the area.

Thorough may not be the word, but he ships were definitely done in and if they inspect the hangars they must have rounded up the few workers and gave them their final pink slips at the end of a blaster. The best they could hope for is scrap metal and materials.

They do see more signs of Republic forces moving in, a few Republic transports land back at the terminal to secure it most likely. They also see more locals coming out to look at the flaming ships, probably watching much of their livelihoods going up in smoke.

"Oddyn Vizsla. More accurately, we're after the same guys. Let's secure this bay." He gestured for moving out and searching the premises.

"As long as that big gun is pointed away from me you can call it whatever you like man." Jax says as he lightly steps towards the spaceport.

"Aw Jax, I wouldn't let him shoot you" Azura covered up a grin as she looked at the republicans charging in.

"Here comes the cavalry, far too late."

Jax smirked at Azura "Aw you really do care." he said, his tone dry.

Jax turned back to the spaceport as he spoke "republic wouldn't waste men on a conflict defending the spaceport, but now they can come in and commandeer it for the war effort and all those destroyed ship can be moved out or bought for scrap.

"I have low expectations of the Republic, so no surprises or hard feelings." He didn't comment on the back and forth between the two but signalled to the Republic forces they were not hostiles before proceeding. In his armour he moved surprisingly smoothly across jagged landscape.

"Would trust anyone Republic or Imperial as far as I could throw 'em" Azura added with a nod as they moved along the sides "still, maybe they'll loot something from here that'll help repair that ship that got shot down."

"I don't really judge them for it, tactically speaking it's the right move. War is a thing of necessities, it's not always pretty."

"Oh I agree" Azura nodded "they're doing the right thing. I still don't trust 'em."

"Depends what you prioritise. I'd think spaceport has been more important to secure early than museums. It's almost too nice to let them keep their emergency exit open until the very end." Odd commented as he walked among the wreckages.
