The Chief was here with a small team and reclamation equipment, normally he wouldn’t go this far for a civilian craft but he heard this crew nearly gave their all to break the blockade so he felt they were owed some good fortune.

“Jenkins, get those cables tightened, I want this bucket hauled back to camp. She might like look like mynok dung now, but after we get through her she will fly again… or whatever a Turtle does,” he grunted.

“Strictly when we have free time, of course,” he said observing the work. “The Mando’s did a number on her, that folks is why you don’t torpedoes to the face. Surprised they got down to the surface in one piece… and alive.”

Jace nodded, his own armor pitted and scarred from combat. He frowned and said, “They did right by us, we will do right by them. Just handle it, Chief, I know you can get her up and running.”

“Yes sir, but I am warning you, there is only so much one can do with this wreck of twisted metal. But if I got any miracles left, this will be the time,” the Chief responded tersely.

“We’ll get’er done.”

GM's Note: Fate of the Turtle, the Turtle will be repaired, either by the end of the game or if the crew is willing to expend 5 duty among themselves then by the start of Session 2.

“Don’t kill yourself, Chief. Just do what you can, we got some hard fighting ahead of us. Reminds me of Balmorra,” he responded grimly.

“Balmorra, I still had some hair on my head, beautiful hair mind you,” the Chief responded grumpily.

“Now we’re just old dogs, old dogs fighting the same wars, sir.”

“Speak for yourself Chief, I’m still as young as I was then… just more scars,” Jace joked dryly.

“Thankfully casualties have been… lower than expected. Not sure if bad or good.”

“I see that as a good, we got a lot of children here, I am pretty sure I got grandkids older than some of this crew. Sharp though, most of them are probably smarter than us, with their social medias and all that,” he said frowning.

“Permission to speak freely, sir?”

"Really, Chief? Granted,” Jace said turning to his old comrade.

“You might be younger, but you’re still uglier than a shaved bantha, sir,” the Chief replied dryly.

“With all due respect, of course.”

Jace laughed and then said, "Still prettier than you, Chief."
