Coming up into the last half of her patrol Chase flew her Spitfire over the city and newly regained areas from the Mandalorian Forces. Standard security sweep of the area, usually nothing interesting and honestly a little boring.

"What're ya thinkin' T? Nice spot for a little condo? Oooh, no yea, I see that. Maybe a little patch right up the walkway into the place. Landing pad by the back. Well of course there's be a landing pad? Where else would I put my ship? I would so use it. No, no I really would, I don't live my whole life in a ship. I mean, most of it, yea but not the whole thing. I'm sure I could do real well on the ground."

"Yea.. yea you're right, I'd probably sell it in like a week."

"But, what about over there? Yea, probably not. People probably suck worse than the food too."

"Hopefully things are quiet, these people need something to go right," her fellow pilot said as she followed on the patrol.

"No yes T I totally-" she cut herself off as Qyen's voice came over the chatterbox. "Yea, T, hold up a second," she said admist chattering beeps from the in-ship comms.

Switching over, "Well, they've got us and thanks to that they're getting back their home. Just a matter of time at this point."

“I admire your optimism, I saw the combat footage from the blockade run, and those pilots are good, especially I assume their commander,” she responded.

“The Turtle crew is damn lucky.”

"Shouldn't of had to be, I shoulda pulled 'em off but, eh, everything worked out alright so whatever," she said quickly, banking left as they continued their sweep over the area. "And is it really all that optimisitic? It's not like we're throwing ourselves against the Empire here. I think it's pretty practical. We are the Republic after all, this is what we do. I can't even begin to picture the idea of us going home failures."

"That's 'nough about that though, don't think I've seen you around all that much though. What'dya say to finding ourselves a way to a drink somewhere after we're done here?"

"Wish I could, got double duty... pilots are running tight," she responded. "Thanks for the offer though."

"Then you're gonna have to split your attention for me, cause I ain't gonna fly with someone on my wing I don't know. Not if I don't have to. So, spill it, who are you?" she responded, then gave a slight chance offer. "That or you'll have to offer me another time and place to do it better. Whenever this fighting lets up enough for us."

“I am not really anyone special sir, just another pilot. I am sorry if I offended you, maybe we can meet up another time… just exhausted and all I want to do is find my bunk once my shift is over.”

“I mean not right now, but in general,” she added over the communication line.

Chase listened, looked about her cockpit in disbelief and finally transmitted back, "You are probably the meeker pilot I've ever damn known."

“I am not sure what you mean, ma’am, just here to do my job whatever needs doing?” she said in reply.

"Yea, yea, I get it. Never met a pilot without the fire in their belly, but hey, I'm sure you'll do fine kid," she replied.

"I... yes ma'am," she said confused.

Switching her outbound comms off she spoke only to T7-B8, "Well... she wasn't the most interesting individeal in the bunch. Was she T?" Beeps of agreement played back, followed by a few other short bursts.

"Yea.." she said, a muted smirk parting her words," so, where were we about that real estate?"
