Anything that really surprised you this time around, in terms of PC interaction, or story development for Niall?

What was your favorite plot thread? Your favorite mission/theater/campaign?

Glad you had a good time! Was definitely worth all the badgering! Aran was great to have around. He seemed like a cool character who wasn't afraid to ( ) throw a little shade.

Hmmm... even though she got away in the end, investigating Captain Hurn was probably the best. It gave me lots of good character moments with Z, T7, Jax, and Lyseil. It let me fight against corruption in the Republic, which I'm glad I got the chance to do. And Dapper played it excellently, letting determination, hard work, and logic make Niall into a good investigator. I felt like I was actually being competent! Just, perhaps, a little short on manpower.

I liked stuff from each theater! Disarming the bombs in the first theater with Rav, Sabine, and Galen was a lot of fun. Rygor had the best feel to it overall. Niall got to take down his sister's killer (again!) in the third part. And this last one really felt Big Damn Heroes; even though repelling boarders was just dice rolls and descriptions, it felt pretty neat.

Geez, a lot surprised me. Lyseil not being in at the start of the meant that she was a complete and utter surprise. Did not expect to be exploring those parts of Niall's past, nor those possibilities for Niall's future. Definitely meant learning a lot of different things, and putting Niall somewhere unexpected at the end. Or maybe not; perhaps he just would have taken a different path to get to the same place. Hard to say! Still figuring it out.

Z and Niall barely interacted in NS. I did not expect them to become so close here.

Melv showed up again! What the hell? I went out expecting Niall to kill him, but I found that he couldn't, not like that. And then I thought one of the cold-blooded people he brought along would kill him, but they didn't ether. That definitely led to learning something new about the character.

I think that's it for the unexpected. But it's a lot!

I didn't expect Wookiee Monsters.

Did anyone catch that it was basically the Roll and Keep system? Or that the villain of the piece was Shaisha? I can't remember if there were any other jokes I included.

Much love for the Cap! I enjoyed our threads, would have liked more of them but so it goes - end of game always makes me regret the threads I didn't have. The Bomb disposal thread was a real early game highlight for me, it felt very cinematic and I thought it brought out Niall's leadership qualities very nicely.

What was your stand out thread that you were in, and that you were not in?

Any plans to take a more combat-oriented second spec?

I quite agree! I think I MM'ed Rav more than anyone else; at least three times, maybe four. What a terrific character! I, too, loved the bomb thread, and agree that it gave us both chances to shine.

Niall is almost certainly going to take a second spec at this point, and it'll either be Instructor or Commando, currently leaning towards Commando. But I sorta also want to pick up Supreme Inspiring Rhetoric, because as rocket-tag as fights in this system seem to be, spending an action on buffing seems pretty rough. Still, with the XP I have available, I can get SIR, Commando, and at least come into the next game with +2 wounds, and more on the way.

Favorite scene that I was in... oof. That's super tricky. There's a lot that can get the honorable mention. I think, by a narrow margin, the winner might go to the scene where Niall and Lyseil call it quits. It was sweet, emotional, and let me show off just how creative I/Niall can get on a date. Bomb one was good, swimsuit was good, taking down Melv was good. Getting Jax to flip had some great character speech from both. Can link to any of these if anyone's curious.

My favorite scene I wasn't in has to be Dark Exodus. That had so much amazing, dramatic stuff. Great job to everyone there! The fight with Eralynn was also amazing, for similar reasons.
